I started weight training myself when I was 14 yrs. old. I wrestled in high school, and I was Florida State Champion in power lifting 114 lbs. class, 1989. I was a competitive body builder for several years after high school, placing 6th at Teenage Nationals and winning the South Eastern USA, Bantam Weight division at age 22. Although I don’t compete anymore, I do weight train, run, play tennis, and coach volleyball. I was introduced to indoor volleyball a few years ago when my daughter Bianca started playing. I love the intensity and the chemistry needed for a team to be successful. I was assistant coach at St. Joseph Catholic School and Club Storm 2011-12, assistant coach and conditioning coach at Tampa Elite 2012-13. After years of helping family, friends, and strangers in the gym that would ask me for advice, I always thought about becoming a personal trainer. It was the players, parents, and staff of Tampa Elite that really encouraged me to make it happen. I am now an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. Now it is time to help others change their lives and reach their own goals! I am so lucky to have found John Oliver, MS, CSCS and Dr. DelRae Messer, DC of Blast Performance. It is a great environment where everyone has a passion for fitness and helping others.
